ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new imaging technology called high-resolution optical coherence tomography (OCT) to help doctors better diagnose skin tumors, including both cancerous and non-cancerous lesions. This method allows for detailed 3D pictures of the skin, which can help reduce the need for unnecessary biopsies—procedures where a small piece of skin is removed to check for cancer. The goal is to see if this technology can improve the accuracy of skin cancer diagnosis, ultimately helping patients get the right treatment more quickly.
To participate in the trial, you must be over 18 years old and have a skin lesion that doctors suspect may be cancerous or that needs to be removed for other reasons. If you join the study, you will undergo a non-invasive assessment using the new imaging technology, as well as other established methods. It’s important to know that those with certain medical conditions or who are under 18 are not eligible to participate. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to improve how skin tumors are diagnosed, which could lead to better outcomes for patients.
