ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness and safety of a medication called butylphthalide for patients who have experienced an ischemic stroke, which occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked. The researchers aim to enroll 300 patients who are at least 18 years old and have had an acute ischemic stroke within the last 48 hours. Before participating, patients will be screened to ensure they don’t have any bleeding in the brain or other serious health issues that could complicate their treatment.
Participants in this trial will receive butylphthalide and will be closely monitored to assess how well the medication works and if there are any side effects. The study will also look specifically at older patients to understand how the drug behaves in their bodies. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know has recently had an ischemic stroke and meets the eligibility criteria, this could be an opportunity to help advance treatment options while receiving care.
