ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Advancing Suicide Intervention Strategies for Teens During High Risk Periods," is focused on finding effective ways to help teenagers who are at risk of suicide. Researchers want to test different treatments and strategies to better support young people who are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or have attempted suicide. By doing this, they aim to develop methods that can be widely used and make a significant impact on the lives of adolescents in crisis.
To participate in this study, teens aged 11 to 17 who are currently in acute care settings, like hospitals, because of suicidal thoughts or behaviors may be eligible. Participants will need to provide consent, and it’s important that they can communicate effectively in English to complete the study assessments. Those with certain conditions, such as severe mental illness or unstable health issues, won't be able to join. If accepted, participants can expect to engage in various assessments and interventions designed to improve their mental health and reduce the risk of suicide. This study is currently recruiting, and everyone involved hopes to contribute to better support for teens facing these challenges.
