ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different doses of Vitamin D can help adults who have suffered from major burn injuries and have low levels of Vitamin D. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either a lower dose of 400 IU or a higher dose of 4000 IU of Vitamin D daily. Both doses will be given in identical-looking capsules, so neither the participants nor the researchers will know which dose each person is receiving. The main goal is to see how these different doses affect physical health, mental well-being, and social health after a burn injury.

To be eligible for this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and have had a burn injury that required surgery at least six months ago. You should also have low Vitamin D levels and meet certain conditions related to the severity of your burns. If you decide to participate, you can expect regular check-ins to assess your health and well-being. This study aims to find the best way to support recovery for burn patients, and your involvement could contribute valuable information to this important area of research.
