ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on helping teenagers who have experienced serious injuries, which are common causes of death and health problems in this age group. The study aims to see how well a program called the Trauma Resilience and Recovery Program (TRRP) can improve the emotional recovery and overall quality of life for young patients aged 12 to 17. This program uses technology and a team approach to support healing after these traumatic events. Researchers will be working with three major pediatric trauma centers and hope to gather information that could help implement this program in more hospitals across the country.

To participate in this trial, adolescents must be between 12 and 17 years old and have been admitted to the hospital for a traumatic injury. They also need to show signs of significant distress related to their injury. However, those who have self-inflicted injuries or have severe injuries that prevent them from communicating will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive support through the TRRP, which aims to help them cope with their experiences and improve their mental health and daily life after their injury. This study is currently recruiting participants and seeks to gather valuable information to improve care for young injury survivors.
