ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special exercise program called the GH Method to see if it can help improve the health and well-being of U.S. Veterans who are dealing with issues like chronic pain, fatigue, and depression. The study will involve a total of 94 visits over 18 months, where participants will undergo fitness and health tests at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and participate in exercise sessions at the GH FITLab. They will also fill out questionnaires about their mental health, including feelings of sadness and stress.
To participate, you need to be a U.S. Veteran receiving care at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and experiencing symptoms like pain or low energy. Participants must be at least 18 years old and able to safely engage in the exercise program. It's important to note that those who cannot travel to the training center or understand the study may not be eligible. This trial not only aims to boost physical strength and fitness but also hopes to enhance the overall quality of life for veterans by addressing both physical and mental health challenges.
