ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to help doctors plan for surgeries related to hemodialysis access, which is the method used to get blood from your body to a dialysis machine. The goal is to create a three-dimensional (3D) printed model of the blood vessels where the hemodialysis access is placed. This model can help doctors prepare better and reduce the chances of complications, like infiltration, which is when the access point does not work properly, leading to more hospital visits.

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be patients who have had a hemodialysis access placed surgically and have used it in the last 90 days, or are getting ready to use it in the next 90 days. Unfortunately, if someone only has a failed access that hasn’t been used for over 90 days, they would not be able to participate. If you join this study, you will be part of a process that could improve the way doctors perform these important procedures, helping to make dialysis treatment safer and more effective for everyone involved.
