ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help patients with gastrointestinal tumors, like gastric or colorectal cancer, manage their central venous catheters (PICC or PORT) at home. These catheters are important for delivering chemotherapy, but they require regular care to avoid complications. Because of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it's harder for patients to visit hospitals for this care. This study aims to provide remote, real-time guidance to patients and their families, helping them learn how to properly care for these catheters at home through training videos and live support.
To participate, you need to be between 18 and 75 years old, diagnosed with gastric or colorectal cancer, and have a PICC or PORT in place. You should also be able to understand and cooperate with the study. If you join, you can expect to receive training and support so you can confidently manage your catheter care at home, ensuring your treatment continues smoothly and safely.
