ClinConnect Summary
The MOSAIC trial is a research study aimed at helping pregnant women and mothers of young children who have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV). The goal is to see if a new program called "MOSAIC Plus" can effectively reduce symptoms of depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in these women while also helping to prevent further violence. The study will involve women who are pregnant or have children under the age of five, have experienced IPV in the past six months, and show signs of depression or PTSD.
To participate in the trial, women need to be at least 18 years old, currently pregnant or a mother of a child under five, and report recent experiences of IPV. They also need to show elevated symptoms of depression or PTSD. If eligible, participants can expect to engage in a 6-month program that provides support and resources to help improve their mental health and safety. The study is actively recruiting participants, and it’s important for interested women to be able to provide contact information for two people who can help researchers reach them.
