ClinConnect Summary

The COFTASD trial is a study looking at how different factors can affect the quality of life for adults who have undergone surgery for spinal deformity. The researchers want to understand what helps improve patients' daily lives one year after their surgery. This study is currently recruiting participants who are over 18 years old and have been diagnosed with specific types of spinal deformities, such as scoliosis or kyphosis, which are conditions that cause abnormal curvature of the spine.

If you or a loved one is considering joining the trial, you should know that eligible participants must be able to undergo surgery and agree to take part in the study. The team will ask participants to complete some questionnaires to track their progress. It's important to note that individuals under 18, those with certain medical conditions, or those who cannot understand the study's requirements may not be able to participate. Overall, this trial aims to gather valuable information that could help improve care for patients with spinal deformities in the future.
