ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how our brains work when we try to keep our balance while doing different tasks that involve seeing and hearing. Specifically, the study will involve participants wearing virtual reality (VR) headsets that show them visual challenges while they perform tasks that require them to think and maintain their balance. Before starting, participants will go through some tests to ensure they do not have any health issues affecting their balance or brain function.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be right-handed and generally healthy, without any serious balance problems or neurological disorders. This means they should not have had any recent surgeries on their knees or hips, should not feel dizzy often, and should have good vision. During the trial, participants can expect to engage in activities that test their balance and cognitive abilities while their brain activity and eye movements are monitored. The researchers aim to gain insights that could help improve balance in older adults and potentially reduce fall risks.
