ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for pyoderma gangrenosum, a serious skin condition that causes painful, non-healing wounds. The researchers believe that a product called EpiFix, made from human tissue, might help these wounds heal better. They are looking for adults over 18 who have been diagnosed with pyoderma gangrenosum to participate in the study.
If you join the trial, you'll first have a medical check-up to make sure you're eligible. The treatment involves two surgeries: the first surgery will involve applying EpiFix to your wounds, and a week later, the second surgery will use skin grafts to help heal the area. After the surgeries, you’ll have regular follow-up visits to monitor your healing progress, check for any pain or infection, and take measurements and photos of your wounds. The study aims to learn more about how well this treatment works and to understand the healing process better. Your participation could help improve future treatments for this challenging condition.
