ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the bacteria Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) affects the gut microbiome, which is the community of microorganisms living in our intestines. Researchers want to understand why some people experience severe health issues from H. pylori while others may have it without any problems, or even beneficial effects. They believe that changes in the gut microbiome can be measured through stool samples and may help predict which patients will be more affected by the infection.
To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and able to provide written consent. Patients will be those who are undergoing tests for H. pylori, while healthy volunteers can also join if they are between 18 and 65 years old and have no current medical conditions or recent antibiotic use. Participants will provide stool, blood, and tissue samples, and they can expect to contribute to important research that may improve understanding of H. pylori infections and their effects on gut health.
