ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether special eye drops made from a patient's own blood, called platelet rich plasma drops, can help improve symptoms in people with moderate dry eye syndrome. The study will compare two types of these drops: one with platelets and one without, to see if there is a difference in their effectiveness. The trial will take place at the Flaum Eye Institute and will involve up to four visits.
To be eligible for this study, participants must have a confirmed diagnosis of moderate dry eye and should not have any other eye conditions or allergies affecting their eyes. They should also not be using any eye medications for at least two weeks before joining the study and must agree to participate by signing a consent form. If you're considering taking part in this study, you'll need to meet these criteria, and the team will guide you throughout the process. This trial is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to help those suffering from dry eyes find relief using innovative treatments.
