ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different types of temporary crowns used in dental implants develop biofilm, which is a sticky layer of bacteria that can cause dental plaque and gum problems. The study compares two materials: one made from noble metals and another made from titanium. Researchers want to understand how biofilm forms over different time periods—like after 48 hours, 2 weeks, and 3 months—on these temporary crowns.
To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74, have a titanium dental implant already in place, and be in good health without serious illnesses like diabetes. Participants should not be heavy smokers, pregnant, or undergoing treatment for gum disease. If you decide to join, you'll help researchers learn more about dental health and how to improve dental implant designs.
