ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new way to monitor heart rhythms in children who have experienced symptoms like heart palpitations, fainting (syncope), or dizziness. Researchers want to see if using a mobile electrocardiogram (ECG) can effectively detect irregular heartbeats, or arrhythmias, compared to the traditional method, which includes regular doctor visits and a 24-hour Holter ECG test.

To take part in the study, children aged 5 to 18 who may have symptoms of heart rhythm issues can join, even if they do not have a known heart condition. Participants will need to have access to a smartphone, smartwatch, or tablet that works with the KARDIA mobile ECG monitoring system. They will also need permission from a parent or guardian if they are under 18. Throughout the trial, participants will have their heart rhythms monitored using the mobile device, helping researchers understand if this method is a good option for detecting heart problems in kids.
