ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to monitor swallowing difficulties, known as dysphagia, by analyzing patients' voices. Researchers are collecting basic data to develop a technique that uses voice analysis to understand the condition better. The goal is to create a technology that could help track the state of dysphagia in patients over time.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have dysphagia and be scheduled for a specific type of swallowing test called VFSS. They should be able to record their voice by making sounds like "Ah" or "Um." The study also welcomes healthy individuals without swallowing issues to participate, as their voices will be compared to those of patients with dysphagia. Participants can expect to provide voice recordings and undergo some assessments, but they do not need to worry if they cannot speak or follow the instructions given by the researchers, as those individuals will not be included in the study. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders.
