ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the ITP Registry and Accompanying Biospecimen Collection, aims to gather important information about patients with Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition where the body doesn't have enough platelets, which are essential for blood clotting. The study will collect clinical data and biological samples from consenting patients at various stages of their illness. By doing this, researchers hope to better understand ITP and improve future treatments.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with either primary or secondary ITP. Unfortunately, those with certain other conditions related to low platelet counts or who cannot give informed consent will not be eligible. If you decide to join the study, you can expect to provide information about your health and possibly donate blood or other samples. This research is currently looking for participants of all genders, and your involvement could help in finding better ways to treat ITP in the future.
