ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new way to care for patients after cataract surgery at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Currently, patients must use multiple eye drops after their surgery, which can be difficult to manage and lead to complications if they forget or struggle to use them. The researchers want to see if giving patients one single injection of medication during surgery, instead of several eye drops afterward, can improve recovery and make it easier for patients to follow their treatment plan.

To be part of this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been approved for cataract surgery in both eyes. However, if you have certain eye conditions, allergies to specific medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you won't be eligible. If you choose to participate, you'll receive the new treatment during your surgery and the team will follow up to see how well you recover and how satisfied you are with the care you received. This study aims to make postoperative care simpler and more effective for patients in need.
