ClinConnect Summary
The EUROSETS ECMO Study is a research trial that aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a new medical system called the EUROSETS ECMOLIFE SYSTEM. This system is used in a procedure known as Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), which helps patients whose hearts or lungs are not working properly. The study will involve 30 patients who are 18 years or older and may be experiencing serious conditions such as heart failure or cardiac arrest. The goal is to see how well this system performs in helping these patients recover.
If you or a loved one are considering participating, you would receive the ECMOLIFE SYSTEM during your treatment and be closely monitored for any side effects or complications for up to 30 days after starting the procedure. Researchers will collect information about your health and recovery process, including follow-up calls and visits to ensure everything is going well. This study is currently looking for participants, and it is important to note that pregnant or breastfeeding women cannot join.
