ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how hormone therapy affects the voices of trans men. Researchers want to understand the changes in voice that happen when trans men start taking testosterone, as well as how these changes relate to their mental and social well-being. The study will follow participants over time to see how their voices change and gather information about their experiences during hormone treatment.
To join this study, participants need to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria, which means they experience discomfort due to a mismatch between their gender identity and biological sex. They must also be planning to start hormone therapy. However, people with certain voice issues, those who have had voice surgery or therapy before, or those with specific health conditions affecting their voice will not be eligible. Participants can expect regular check-ups to assess their voice changes and will contribute valuable information that may help improve care for others in similar situations.
