ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how environmental factors might influence the development and progression of thyroid cancer. Researchers are interested in understanding if exposure to certain chemicals in our environment, especially those that disrupt hormone functions, could increase the risk of thyroid cancer or affect how aggressive the disease can become. By looking at small blood samples collected at home and combining this with questionnaires about environmental exposures, the study aims to find connections between these factors and thyroid cancer outcomes.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, have specific types of thyroid nodules that require surgery, and be able to give their consent. The study is not open to those with a history of thyroid cancer or certain vulnerable populations. Participants will provide small blood samples and answer questions about their exposures, helping researchers gather important information that could lead to better understanding and treatment of thyroid cancer in the future.
