ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special type of hip replacement surgery for younger and more active patients. It focuses on using a particular material for the hip socket, which is made of highly cross-linked polyethylene and contains vitamin E. Researchers want to see if this new material can improve the results of total hip arthroplasty, which is the medical term for hip replacement surgery, by making the joint last longer and work better.
To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 18 and 65 and have been advised by your doctor that you need a hip replacement. It’s important that you understand the study and agree to participate. However, if you have had previous hip surgery, certain medical conditions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you will receive the new hip component and will be asked to attend follow-up visits to monitor your progress. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve future treatments for hip problems.
