ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether a special training program can help older adults who use cochlear implants (CIs) hear better. The program is designed to improve their ability to recognize speech and may also enhance their thinking skills and social interactions. Researchers are particularly interested in how this training might benefit people aged 60 and older who have received their cochlear implants within the last three years.
To participate in the study, individuals must be 60 years or older and have a certain level of hearing ability with their cochlear implant. Participants will need to complete a simple test to ensure they are able to understand the training. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and everyone is welcome, regardless of gender. Those who join can expect to engage in the auditory training program and contribute to research that could improve hearing outcomes for many older adults in the future.
