ClinConnect Summary
The Pforzheim Tricuspid Valve Registry is a clinical trial aimed at evaluating the safety and effectiveness of a device called the TriClip™ for treating severe tricuspid regurgitation, a condition where the heart's valve does not close properly, leading to symptoms like fatigue and swelling. This study is being conducted in a single center and is open to patients who are at least 18 years old and have severe symptoms despite being on medication. Participants must be able to provide consent to take part in the trial, and they should not be involved in any other clinical studies that could affect the results.
If eligible, participants can expect to receive the TriClip™ device, which is placed in the heart to help it function better. The trial is currently recruiting patients, and it involves monitoring their outcomes over time to see how well the TriClip™ works in real-life situations. This research is important because it will help doctors understand how to better treat patients with this challenging heart condition.
