ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the presence of tiny plastic particles, called microplastics, in the cells and fluid of women who are undergoing a specific fertility treatment known as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Microplastics come from larger plastic items breaking down or from products like cosmetics. While we know these particles can be found in various environments like water and food, this study aims to see if they also accumulate in the reproductive system of women.
Women who are 18 years or older and are preparing for ICSI treatment can participate in this study, regardless of their age. There are no other specific exclusions, meaning almost anyone meeting these criteria can join. Participants will help researchers understand the link between environmental exposure to plastics and fertility. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, and being part of it could contribute valuable information for future fertility research.
