ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on evaluating the results of a surgery called ACL reconstruction in adolescents who have suffered injuries to their knee. The study looks at young patients, aged 10 to 17, who have had a full-thickness tear of the ACL (an important ligament in the knee) and may have also had repairs to other parts of the knee. Researchers want to understand how well the surgery works over a follow-up period of at least three years, using both physical tests and MRI scans to see how the knee is functioning and to check for any early signs of arthritis.
If your child is between 10 and 17 years old and has had this type of knee surgery, they might be eligible to participate in the study. The researchers will assess various aspects of knee function, including strength and stability, through specific physical tests and questionnaires. This information could help improve future treatments for young patients with ACL injuries. It's important to note that children with certain other injuries or surgeries may not qualify for the study.
