ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "HEAlth Dialogues for Patients With Mental Illness in Primary Care," is looking at how conversations about health and lifestyle can help people dealing with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, fatigue, and sleep problems. The study will involve patients who are seeking primary care for these conditions, and researchers will track their health over two years to see if improved lifestyle habits can reduce risks for heart problems and other serious health issues.
To participate in this trial, you need to be over 18 years old and be seeking treatment for mental health issues. However, if you have dementia or cannot understand or communicate in Swedish, you would not be eligible. If you join the study, you will have health interviews and blood tests at the beginning and again after 12 and 24 months. Additionally, your health will be monitored for up to 20 years using national health records to check for any long-term health complications. This trial aims to provide valuable insights into how mental health and lifestyle changes are connected.
