ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of a special imaging technique called three-dimensional echocardiography during heart surgery. The goal is to see how this method can help doctors understand heart function better while performing surgery and how it affects patients' recovery. Researchers will follow patients from the time of their surgery until they leave the hospital to see how well they do.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and must be having heart surgery or surgery on blood vessels near the heart. Unfortunately, pregnant women and those with certain health issues that prevent the use of the echocardiography method cannot participate. If you join the trial, you'll undergo the usual surgical procedures, plus the added benefit of this advanced imaging to help improve your care. Your participation will help researchers learn more about the best ways to support patients undergoing heart surgery.
