ClinConnect Summary
The Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Registry is a study designed to learn more about conditions like Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, and Eosinophilic Colitis. These conditions involve a type of white blood cell called eosinophils that can cause inflammation in the digestive system. The goal of this study is to gather information about the symptoms patients experience, their quality of life, and how the disease changes with different treatments. Researchers also want to see if there’s a link between these disorders and other connective tissue issues.
To participate, individuals aged 1 to 25 who have been diagnosed with one of these disorders through specific medical tests like endoscopy or colonoscopy may be eligible. Participants will have samples collected during routine medical procedures, which will be stored for future research. This study is currently recruiting and aims to create a large collection of information and samples to help improve treatments for Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders in the future.
