The Shanghai Pudong Cohort is a research study aimed at understanding the health of people living in the Pudong District of Shanghai, China. This study will track the health information of individuals from birth to old age, focusing on how different factors affect overall health. By gathering data through questionnaires and health samples, the researchers hope to create a comprehensive health management system that can benefit the community.

If you live in Pudong and are between 0 and 120 years old, you might be eligible to participate. Participants will be asked to share information about their health and fill out surveys. It's important to note that those who are very ill, too frail, or have significant cognitive or communication issues may not be able to participate. Overall, this study aims to improve public health by learning more about the health needs of the entire community.

Eligibility criteria

  • Inclusion Criteria:
  • 0\~120-year-old verified urban and rural residents in Pudong District, Shanghai
  • Able to give informed consent (or has a legal designee) All the selected samples were to be interviewed.
  • Exclusion Criteria:
  • severely ill or too frail to answer; or having cognitive problems; having hearing or speaking problems; or dementia.
