ClinConnect Summary
The "Healthy Early Life Moments in Singapore" clinical trial is studying how a comprehensive care program can improve the health of mothers and their babies. Specifically, it focuses on women who are overweight or obese and aims to support their metabolic (body's ability to process food and maintain energy) and mental health, as well as the health of their children during pregnancy and the first 18 months of life.
To participate in this trial, women aged 21 to 40 with a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 40 who plan to conceive within a year may be eligible. Participants should be living in Singapore for the next four years, able to understand English, and willing to provide written consent. Those who are currently pregnant, have diabetes, or are taking certain medications are not eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive regular health check-ups and support throughout your pregnancy and after your baby is born. This trial aims to help improve health outcomes for both mothers and their children.
