ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help patients with a condition called atrioventricular block, which affects how the heart beats. Traditionally, pacemakers are implanted to help manage this condition, but they can sometimes lead to heart problems over time. This study is looking at a different approach called physiological pacing, which may help prevent those issues. The trial is currently recruiting participants who are 18 years or older and have a good heart function (with a specific measurement called ejection fraction greater than 50%).
To join the study, participants need to agree to take part by signing a consent form, and they should be able to attend follow-up visits at the study center. Unfortunately, those with serious health problems that significantly lower their life expectancy or those with severe cognitive issues won't be eligible. If you or a loved one is considering joining this trial, you can expect to be part of a research effort aimed at improving heart treatments and potentially avoiding complications associated with traditional pacing methods.
