ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Computational Neuroscience of Language Processing in the Human Brain," is focused on understanding how our brains process and understand language. Researchers want to learn more about the specific brain activities that help us make sense of speech. To do this, they will collect detailed data from patients who need to have monitoring in their brains due to epilepsy. This study is important because it may help us better understand language processing, which is a unique ability of humans.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 18 and 85 years old and have a medical need for intracranial monitoring in the left side of their brain. They also need to be able to follow instructions and give informed consent, meaning they understand what the study involves. If someone has difficulty understanding the tasks or is not willing to participate, they will not be included. Participants can expect to contribute to valuable research that could improve our understanding of language and its processing in the brain. The study is currently looking for volunteers to help with this important work.
