ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how well patients do after emergency surgery for various gastrointestinal problems, such as injuries, bleeding, lesions, ulcers, and cancer. The goal is to understand the risks and outcomes (like complications and survival) associated with these urgent surgeries. The trial is currently recruiting participants aged 18 and older who need surgery that is not planned in advance.

To join the study, patients must be at least 18 years old and require emergency surgery. However, those who are younger, unable to give consent, already in the hospital for the same surgery, or participating in another trial cannot take part. If you choose to participate, you can expect to be monitored closely during and after your surgery to help researchers gather important information about your recovery and health outcomes. This study aims to provide valuable insights that could improve care for future patients facing similar situations.
