ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring ways to help older adults with hoarding disorder, a condition where people find it very difficult to throw away items, leading to clutter and distress in their living spaces. The study will compare two different approaches to support behavioral change in these individuals, aiming to find the most effective method to help them manage their hoarding habits.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 60 years old and live within an hour's drive of Starkville, MS. You should have a diagnosis of hoarding disorder, but if you have serious cognitive issues, are dealing with active mental health crises, or are receiving other therapies for hoarding, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in sessions focused on understanding and changing your behavior related to hoarding, with the goal of improving your quality of life. This trial is currently looking for participants, and your involvement could contribute to valuable insights into treating hoarding disorder in older adults.
