ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a specific shoulder surgery called arthroscopic Bankart repair on patients who have experienced traumatic shoulder dislocations. The goal is to see how this surgery can improve both the movement and sense of position (proprioception) of the shoulder joint over time. Researchers will use safe and non-invasive methods to measure these improvements. They hope to find that the surgery helps restore normal function and leads to better overall outcomes for patients.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 40 years old and have a history of traumatic shoulder dislocations that meet certain criteria. You should also be able to speak and understand Danish and be willing to follow the study's protocol, which includes attending follow-up appointments. Participants can expect to undergo assessments at 6 and 12 months after surgery to evaluate their shoulder's performance and any changes in their symptoms. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how effective this surgical repair is for individuals with shoulder instability.
