ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help patients with chronic pain, particularly those who have been using opioids for musculoskeletal issues. The goal is to improve the way doctors and patients make decisions together about pain management by using a special tool designed to support discussions about treatment options. Researchers believe that by providing tailored support during this process, more doctors will use this tool, leading to better shared decision-making in primary care.
To join the study, you should be a patient at one of the participating clinics, aged 65-74, and have chronic pain that isn't related to cancer, along with a recent history of using opioids. Unfortunately, the study is only available to English-speaking patients at this time. If you participate, you can expect to learn more about your pain management options and how to work closely with your healthcare provider to make informed decisions about your care.
