ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how providing information affects the way patients manage small thyroid nodules that may be cancerous or uncertain in nature. If you have a thyroid nodule that is 2 centimeters or smaller and has been diagnosed as indeterminate or malignant, you might be eligible to participate. However, if you have had previous thyroid surgery or a history of thyroid cancer, you would not qualify for this study.
As a participant, you will receive standard care from your doctors, including consultations with both an endocrinologist and a surgeon. You will fill out a few short surveys at different times: when you first join the study, soon after your appointment with the surgeon, and a few months later, either after your appointment or surgery. These surveys will help researchers understand how satisfied you are with your decision-making process regarding your thyroid nodule management. This trial aims to improve communication and support for patients facing decisions about their thyroid health.
