ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new method called ultrafast ultrasound to better understand how well the diaphragm is working in patients who may have diaphragm dysfunction. The diaphragm is an important muscle that helps us breathe, and problems with it can lead to serious breathing issues. The study aims to see how ultrafast ultrasound can help diagnose diaphragm problems and understand if these issues come from the muscle itself or from the nerves that control it.
To participate in this trial, you need to be over 18 years old and either have confirmed diaphragm dysfunction or your doctor suspects you might have it. You'll need to provide written consent to join and be able to follow the study's guidelines. However, if you have certain conditions like a pacemaker, allergies to specific medications, or if you are pregnant or nursing, you won't be eligible. If you join, you can expect to undergo non-invasive ultrasound tests that will help researchers learn more about your diaphragm's function and potentially improve future diagnoses and treatments for diaphragm-related issues.
