ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether using topical ice therapy before an eye injection can help reduce pain for patients receiving intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. These injections are commonly given to treat eye conditions that affect vision. The researchers want to see if applying ice to the area beforehand makes the experience more comfortable for patients.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been evaluated by a retina specialist at the University of Minnesota who has determined that you need this type of injection. There are no specific exclusions, so if you meet the age requirement and have the medical need, you might be eligible to join. If you take part, you can expect to either receive the ice therapy before your injection or have the injection without it, while the researchers will monitor your pain levels throughout the process. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity to contribute to understanding better ways to manage injection-related discomfort.
