ClinConnect Summary
The SAVEBRAINPWI trial is looking at how different methods can help doctors understand blood flow in the brain after a specific type of bleeding called non-traumatic intracranial hemorrhage, which can occur from conditions like a ruptured aneurysm or arteriovenous malformation (AVM). This study is observational, meaning that it will evaluate patients who are already receiving standard care for their condition, without changing their treatment. The goal is to improve the way we diagnose and monitor brain blood flow in these patients.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have experienced a specific kind of brain hemorrhage that is not caused by trauma. If your bleeding is due to a ruptured aneurysm or AVM, it must be treated with surgery or a less invasive procedure. Participants will undergo brain imaging to assess blood flow, and they need to be able to give informed consent. This study is open to all genders and is currently recruiting participants. If you or someone you know fits these criteria, it could be a valuable opportunity to contribute to important research in brain health.
