ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Neuroplasticity After Proprioceptive Rehabilitation," is looking into how a special type of therapy can help people recover after a stroke or brain injury. The therapy involves using vibrations on the muscles and tendons, which is thought to help the brain reorganize itself and improve movement abilities. Researchers want to see how this therapy affects brain activity and recovery during the rehabilitation process.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 75 or 25 and 65, and must have some difficulty moving one side of their body (hemiparesis) due to a stroke or traumatic brain injury. They should also be able to speak French and have a social insurance in France. The study is looking for individuals who are in the sub-acute phase of recovery, which is between 15 days and 6 months after their injury, and who currently need help walking. Participants will receive the vibration therapy and will be monitored for changes in their movement and brain activity. If you're considering joining, it’s important to know that certain conditions, like severe cognitive issues or pregnancy, may prevent eligibility.
