ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called VAMIS, is studying how to improve minimally invasive surgeries, specifically for patients with prostate and rectal cancer. The goal is to analyze videos of surgical procedures to identify different techniques, skills, and errors that can happen during surgery. By understanding these factors better, researchers hope to reduce mistakes and improve the overall performance of surgical teams, which should lead to better safety and outcomes for patients.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a planned minimally invasive surgery. The trial is currently looking for patients who can give informed consent and are undergoing elective procedures. Participants can expect their surgeries to be filmed anonymously, allowing the surgical team to receive immediate feedback on their performance. This feedback could help make surgeries safer and more effective, benefiting both current and future patients. If you're interested, consider discussing it with your healthcare provider for more information.
