ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on finding better ways to help children who are overweight in Singapore. With childhood obesity rates on the rise, the goal is to support families in making healthier lifestyle choices together. The program, called the Community Lifestyle InTervention for Everyone (LITE), will offer online sessions where families can participate in various exercise programs and learn about healthy eating. The idea is that when parents get involved and make changes at home, it can lead to lasting improvements in their children's health.
To be eligible for this trial, children must be between 6 and 12 years old and have a body mass index (BMI) that puts them above the 90th percentile, meaning they are considered overweight. Unfortunately, children with certain genetic conditions or serious health issues that make it hard for them to be active cannot participate. Families who join can expect to learn practical tips and get support from others in similar situations, all while working together to create a healthier future for their children.
