ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called Project RISE, is studying how to help college students who have experienced suicidal thoughts or have difficulties understanding their body's sensations, a condition known as low interoceptive awareness. The study involves two groups: one will participate in a program focused on body awareness, emotional understanding, and self-care, while the other group will engage in activities related to healthy habits like hygiene and nutrition. Researchers will look at various measures, including how participants feel about their bodies and emotions, and even physical responses like heart activity.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a history of suicidal thoughts or attempts, as well as low awareness of their internal sensations. Participants can expect to take part in four sessions over time, where they will learn different strategies to connect with their feelings and body. The trial is currently recruiting and welcomes all genders. It aims to provide insights that may help improve mental health in young adults.
