ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different strategies to find and treat tuberculosis (TB) in communities near a public health facility in Uganda. One approach involves screening people who are already visiting the health facility for any reason, while the other targets specific areas known to have a high number of undiagnosed TB cases. The goal is to see which method leads to more people being diagnosed with TB and receiving treatment or preventive therapy.
To join the study, participants need to be at least 15 years old, or between 5 and 14 years old if they live with someone diagnosed with TB. They must be able to give consent, either themselves or through a parent if they are under 18. Participants will be screened for TB and may receive treatment based on the findings. This study is currently seeking volunteers and welcomes individuals of all genders. It aims to improve how TB is detected and treated in the community, helping to reduce the burden of this disease.
