ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special program designed to help people recover after a heart attack, also known as an acute myocardial infarction. The program includes cardiac rehabilitation, which focuses on improving heart health through exercise and lifestyle changes, along with motivational interviews to encourage participants to make positive changes. Researchers want to find out if this combined approach is more effective than the usual care patients receive after being discharged from the hospital.
To be part of this study, participants must be over 18 years old and have been admitted to the hospital for a heart-related issue. They should be ready to go home after treatment and live in the area of the participating healthcare centers. Those with certain serious heart conditions, severe mental health issues, or physical limitations that prevent exercise won’t be eligible. If chosen to participate, individuals will either take part in the rehabilitation program with motivational interviews or receive standard care. Follow-up assessments will occur at 1, 3, and 6 months to see how well participants are doing. This trial is currently recruiting, and it aims to provide valuable insights into improving recovery for heart attack patients.
