ClinConnect Summary
The Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot Italian Registry is a research study designed to gather important information about patients who have undergone surgery for a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). This condition involves four heart defects that affect blood flow. The registry will collect data over a period of six years from patients who have had their TOF repaired and are evaluated using a special type of heart imaging called Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR). The information will include details about their surgery, health status, and any heart-related issues that may occur.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 10 years old and have had their TOF repaired. Unfortunately, younger children and those with other complex heart conditions will not be included. Participants can expect to visit one of the participating heart centers in Italy for evaluations, where their health information will be collected and monitored. This study aims to improve our understanding of the long-term outcomes for patients with repaired Tetralogy of Fallot, which can help doctors provide better care in the future.
