ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the role of mast cells, which are special immune cells in our bodies, in certain autoinflammatory diseases (AID). AID are conditions where the immune system behaves abnormally, leading to inflammation and other symptoms. The researchers want to understand how mast cells might be involved in these diseases, especially in patients with conditions like Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) and others that fall under the autoinflammatory umbrella. They will look at signs of mast cell activation by examining skin and digestive tissue samples from participants.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 18 years old and have a diagnosed autoinflammatory disease that is being managed at a specific hospital in France. Healthy adults of similar age and gender may also join as a comparison group. Participants will undergo evaluations, including clinical assessments and biopsies, to help researchers learn more about how mast cells contribute to these diseases. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available in the future for anyone interested in taking part.
